The Disability Employment Service (DES) contract commenced in 2010, replacing the services offered under the previous Disability Employment Network (DEN). Primarily, DES plays a specialist role in assisting people with a disability into sustainable employment in the open labour market. There are two types of programs offered under DES as follows:

Disability Management Service (DMS) for job seekers with a disability, injury or health condition who require the assistance of a DES provider but are not expected to need long-term support in the workplace.
