A pro-active approach pays off for are-able Mount Gambier Jobseeker Darren

The team at are-able Mount Gambier understand what it takes to be job-ready. Unlocking potential. Building Ability is the philosophy behind their work; the implementation of this is evident through the feedback that the team receives from jobseekers such as Darren Rabone.

Darren moved to Mount Gambier 3 years ago, he linked up with are-able  20 weeks ago as a jobseeker needing some support with finding employment.
The team at are-able Mount Gambier spent time getting to know Darren, gaining an understanding of his skill level, interests, and mental health barriers. Providing  him with a supportive  non-judgemental environment is what makes the are-able team the best at finding suitable employment opportunities for jobseekers as well as uncovering amazing staff for local businesses.

are-able Mount Gambier supported Darren in finding employment with the Port MacDonnell Hotel, where he is has a multi functional position helping out in a number of areas including  the kitchen, general maintenance and housekeeping.

Darren has required some additional support and assistance on his path to employment including the purchase of uniform and interim travel costs,  something are-able were happy to provide for him.
“I would like to say that my whole experience with are-able has been a pleasure. I asked the team at are-able to help me find a job and they did. Nothing was too much trouble as they were always happy to help and supported me through the whole process. They don’t just help you find work they offer you ongoing support if needed. Getting a job has lifted my spirits and made me feel worthy in my new town. It has lifted my confidence and self-esteem, I look forward to going to work and it keeps my mental health positive.” Said Darren.

“We’re thrilled Darren has found employment that he is enjoying. You can tell he is much happier and his confidence is growing. He came to us with a pro-active and can-do attitude and we’re so happy that the Port MacDonnell Hotel also saw his potential and provided him with this opportunity” said Kim Pratt from are-able Mount Gambier.
