COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update!
As one of regional Victoria’s and South East South Australia’s leading providers of Employment Services and NDIS programs, WDEA Works is closely monitoring the escalating threat of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Rest assured, our number one priority is the safety of our clients and staff.
WDEA Works has a team working together monitoring all sites and following the advice of medical health authorities regarding COVID-19. A plan is in process to address any implications for our clients and advise will be given as information becomes available.
- It is an Australian Government requirement that travellers arriving in Australia from 12am on the 16th March must self-isolate for 14 days. This applies to all travellers including Australian citizens.
- WDEA Works clients who have travelled overseas in the past 2 weeks must self-isolate for 14-days.
- Any WDEA Works team member who has travelled overseas cannot return to work unless they have completed the 14-day self-isolation and have been cleared to return to work by their applicable site manager.
If you are feeling unwell
- Call ahead to your GP or emergency department, mention your symptoms before you arrive at the doctor’s office so they can prepare appropriate infection control measures.
Good Hygiene is key to reduce the spread of COVID-19
WDEA Works in line with current Infection control guidelines would like to provide some practical steps to prevent or reduce the spread of infections at work.

Reduce your risk of coronavirus as directed by Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) .
- WASH your hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds.
- Dry with paper towel or hand dryer.
- TRY not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
- COVER your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.
- STAY at home if you feel sick. If you take medication make sure you have enough.
- PHONE your doctor or the hotline – 1800 675 398 – if you need medical attention. They will tell you what to do.
- CONTINUE healthy habits: exercise, drink water, get plenty of sleep.
- WEARING a face mask is not necessary if you are well.
- BUY an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with over 60% alcohol.
