Are-able New Starter Welcome Program Goes Online

Are-able New Starter Welcome Program Goes Online
Video conferencing has allowed all new staff starting with are-able to still meet the are-able CEO.

Since the beginning of July are-able has added over 35 new faces to the team.

The need for employment services has never been stronger and are-able has acted swiftly and in the best interests of our communities and staff by adding additional staff to help manage this workload and support those who need us most.

Adapting to the current Covid-climate we have taken the new-starter program online where staff members get to meet the Department Directors and learn about all areas of the business including; Disability Employment Services, Jobactive, Social Enterprise, Training, People & Culture as well as Marketing & Communications.

“We know it’s not the same as hosting multiple-day face to face inductions, but we’re grateful our technology enables us to continue providing new staff with the opportunity to meet and gain valuable knowledge of our vision, values and purpose. I know from personal experience that when you’re working in employment services for the first time, it can be a challenging time whilst “learning the ropes”. By hosting these online induction sessions we are able to remind staff of the support available to them and they can experience the positive are-able culture firsthand. We are a values driven organisation and although occasionally challenging; the work we do can improve people’s lives and make our communities stronger. It is important our staff understand how they can contribute to our communities and have a sense of pride in the work they perform on a daily basis”  said are-able CEO Tom Scarborough.
