Early Childhood Education Training Proves Highly Rewarding for Horsham Local

Horsham woman Baylee McLean has always had a strong affinity with children, but it was only during her gap year that she decided to form a career in the industry. She approached are-able Education and Training and after consulting with their team, Baylee decided to undertake a Certificate II in Early childhood education and care.

Baylee enjoys working with preschool children and has found that being part of their growth and learning is very rewarding. Studying an early childhood education and care course was a natural step for Baylee.

‘I enjoy learning and have always loved children,’ she said. ‘Sharing experiences with them is really inspiring.’

Baylee also works two part-time jobs as a barista and restaurant assistant manager. The flexibility of are-able Education and Training course has been a crucial part of her success.

‘The course has allowed me to study in my hometown and still be close to family and friends,’ she said. ‘The class times and placement hours were well set out so I could still adhere to my busy work schedule, meaning I can support myself while still gaining my qualification.’

The Work Placement experience  gave Baylee the valuable opportunity to apply what she’d been learning in class to a real life situation. Predominately working within the 3-5 year age group, Baylee was learning new skills every day.

‘Getting to know the likes and dislikes and dislikes of the children, what they do on weekends, and all the funny little statements that they come out with!’ said Baylee.

‘Seeing their perspective on the world around them is so fascinating.’
