Looking for a career that makes a difference?

As a growing organisation, with over 30 regional locations, we’re always on the lookout for motivated, outgoing and passionate people to join our team.

are-able has a variety of roles across our different departments, but all work towards the same purpose: creating opportunities for inclusiveness in communities.

Employment opportunities

Why are-able?

Perks of the job

are-able is a not-for-profit organisation, which means we tend to attract staff who want to help their communities, rather than themselves. But we also know you need money to live and pay bills. So money definitely matters. Here are a few carrots to help sweeten the deal:

  • The option to salary package through Eziway (tax benefits of working for a not-for-profit). This lets you maximise your income by minimising the tax you pay, leaving you with more money in your pocket for the things you love.
  • Company issued laptops, mobile phones, and the use of fleet cars (if relevant for your role). No need to use your own car or to pay tax on a company car. We understand these tools are necessary for your job, and we don’t try to build this into your salary offer.
  • Me days & bonus leave (see above). We thought getting paid to have days off was worth mentioning again.

Our teams

Although we are ‘one team, one dream’, it’s likely that – if you are joining are-able – you will be working within one of our four teams/departments:

This helps support the needs of each team. Roles within this team are highly varied.

Our culture

We know it sounds cliché, but we really are a values-driven organisation. We’ve also recently updated our Vision & Purpose to reflect the impact we strive to create. Bonus points if you mention any of these in your job application. Vision – Inclusive, thriving communities. Purpose – Creating opportunities for inclusiveness in communities. Values – Respect, Empathy, Innovation, Integrity

We recognise the value a diverse workplace makes to our service delivery, and as an Equal Opportunity Employer we’re committed to providing an inclusive culture where all employees, jobseekers, employers and community partners are treated with dignity, courtesy and respect.
