Standard Mental Health First Aid

NACT

Introduction:

Learn about the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health problems in adults, how to provide initial help, where and how to get professional help, what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.

This is an education course, to learn how to give first aid to others, and is not a therapy or support group.

Target Audience:

Suitable for adults in workplaces, schools and community settings to support other adults.

This 12 hour course is a face to face delivery mode, held over two days.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • On successful completion of the 2 day course, including a short online accreditation assessment and feedback survey, students will receive a Statement of Attainment

Learning Methods:

2 day course, led by an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor
