Starting on 1 July, Workforce Australia will be the new employment service delivered by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, replacing jobactive.
Workforce Australia is the front door for government employment and skills services, helping Australians to find and keep a job, change jobs or create their own job, connecting employers with job seekers, and a refreshed network of providers to deliver tailored case management.
Employment Services has replaced jobactive supports under Workforce Australia.
This employment service supports job seekers experiencing a range of barriers into employment by providing support such as resume preparation, training, work experience, job search techniques, skills assessments, job matching and employment counselling.
Financial assistance may also be available for further training, books, equipment, wage subsidies for employers, licenses, workplace tickets, and transport assistance.
WDEA Works provides Workforce Australia’s Enhanced Services in the South Coast of Victoria: Colac, Hamilton, Portland and Warrnambool.
