First Aid training is on hold while COVID-19 Stage 3 restrictions are in place.

Once it’s deemed safe to do so we will start scheduling First Aid training immediately.

HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

HLTAID001

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. CPR skills are required to be refreshed every 12 months. The practical session takes approximately 2 hours.  There is also an online theory and assessment component that needs to be successfully completed.  This will take approximately 2 hours.

HLTAID003 - Provide first aid

HLTAID003

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. HLTAID003 is the first aid course that sporting clubs, businesses and the general public usually undertake. First Aid skills are required to be refreshed every 3 years.  The practical session takes approximately 4 hours.  There is also an online theory and assessment component that needs to be successfully completed.  This will take approximately 4 hours.

HLTAID004 - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

HLTAID004

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. First Aid skills are required to be refreshed every 3 years.  The practical session takes approximately 4 hours.  There is also an online theory and assessment component that needs to be successfully completed.  This will take approximately 4 hours.
